WigJig Jewelry Tools Presents our Jewelry Making Newsletter for September 28, 2003

We are continuing to improve our newsletter, so please feel free to provide feedback at

New Jewelry Making Supplies:

This week we have two new items.  The first is a follow-on online book to our "Wire Design Basics" online book.  This new book, "Wire Design Basics Book 2", has new skills and several new projects including the three earring projects shown below.  Our second new product is the Wild Wire Wire Writing System.  This tool provides jigs, pegs and patterns for writing in wire longhand.  (It does not support printing in wire.)  This new product can be found at the bottom of our specials page in our Internet store.  In our next newsletter we plan on announcing a large selection of Paula Radke dichroic glass beads as our next new products.

We update the items we have "On Sale" with every newsletter.  A small sample of the products we currently have for sale at a discount are shown below.  Please click on any of the text below the pictures to view our entire list of sale items.  Quantities are limited for these items so please shop early.  This sale will be effective from September 14th through October 10th, 2003.

With every newsletter we provide a free design from WigJig University to spur the creative juices.  This newsletter's free design is the design for the Remembrance Earrings shown at right. These earrings are made from 20G 1/2 hard Sterling Silver or Gold-Filled wire combined with round or oval medium chain, end cap beads and bead dangles. Instructions for making these Rememberance Earrings using our WigJig jewelry tools, jewelry supplies, beads and jewelry wire can be found by selecting here.  These earrings are also called Wishbone Earrings since the wire component looks very similar to a wishbone on a chicken.

Jewelry Making Tip of the week:

This past week I received a request for a design for a clasp.  We have several designs for clasps in WigJig University.  The design at right is one of my favorites.  Instructions for making this clasp using jewelry wire and our WigJig jewelry making tools can be found by selecting here. This clasp is made with 20G wire and because the loop is wrapped closed, it is a fairly strong clasp.  When using this clasp on a bracelet, I recommend using a guard chain.
