Mod Classic Jewelry Wire & Beads Chandelier Earrings -- A Jewelry Making ProjectModified WigJig Classic Jewelry Wire & Beads Chandelier EarringsFree Jewelry Making Design:

With every newsletter we provide a new jewelry design from WigJig University to spur the creative juices.  The new design for this newsletter is the design for our Modified WigJig Classic Chandelier Earrings shown at right.  We show two of the several different styles for connecting the earring body to the ear wire.

These earrings are a modification to our Modified WigJig Classic Earrings that we documented about 2 months ago.  The new chandelier earrings use a five loop, bottom wire component to add length and design interest.

This is an advanced beginner's jewelry making design.  The one complexity in making these earrings is making the wrapped loop link that connects between the main body of the earrings and the bottom wire component.  This wrapped bead link is the same link that is used in making simple bracelets, but you will need to make the connections on either end in a relatively small tight location.

We hope you like this design.   To view our free instructions for how to make these Modified WigJig Classic Jewelry Wire & Beads Chandelier Earrings using our WigJig jewelry tools please  select here, or select either picture above.

Past Jewelry Making Techniques:

We maintain a techniques web page that provides links to the discussion of techniques in our prior newsletters.  You can visit this web page here.  Follow the links on that page to the discussion of the technique in that newsletter.

Jewelry Making Technique:

How to Make a Handmade Round, Jewelry Wire Bail Finding Jewelry Making SkillRound, Handmade, Jewelry Wire Bail Finding in a NecklaceThis week's jewelry making technique is our new instructions for how to make a handmade, jewelry wire, round bail finding like the one shown at right.  You can view this finding made into a simple necklace at left.

This project can be made on any WigJig tool with a 3/16" Super Peg.   It is suitable for advanced beginners to making jewelry.  Anyone who is comfortable making wrapped loops will find that they can make attractive and consistent bail findings using our instructions.

We really like this jewelry making project. It looks especially nice in a necklace with our 22x30mm Pear Pendants like the ones shown above left and right.  You can view those 22x30mm pear pendants in our Internet store here.

Please select here or select either picture above to view our free instructions for making a handmade, round bail finding.

In future newsletters we will provide instructions in how to  use a similar technique to make earrings and how to make a teardrop bail finding.  You can view these future techniques below.

Side View of Paper Clip Jewelry Wire & Beads Earrings Jewelry Making ProjectPaper Clip Jewelry Wire & Beads Earrings Jewelry Making ProjectNostalgia Corner -- Some of our favorite jewelry making designs:

Violet Paper Clip Jewelry Wire & Beads Earrings Jewelry Makign ProjectThis week's featured design in our Nostalgia Corner is the design for making our Paper Clip Earrings.  These earrings use either a Spiral Maker plus a regular metal peg, or a 3/4" Super Peg plus one regular metal peg and can be made on any of our WigJig tools as long as you also had the Spiral Maker or the 3/4" Super Peg.  Because these earrings are actually ear wires, we recommend using 20 gauge wire.  These earrings can be made with either soft or 1/2 hard wire, but you will probably find that it is easier to make these earrings consistently using soft wire.  Using a nylon hammer, to hammer the wire into the Spiral Maker or Super Peg after you have bent the wire into the paperclip shape shown here will help to harden the ear wire and make the ear wire more permanent.  These earrings are a project that is suitable for beginners.  They are really rather simple to make.
