Jewelry Making Technique:
This week's jewelry making technique is our new instructions for how to make a handmade, jewelry wire, round bail finding like the one shown at right. You can view this finding made into a simple necklace at left.
This project can be made on any WigJig tool with a 3/16" Super Peg. It is suitable for advanced beginners to making jewelry. Anyone who is comfortable making wrapped loops will find that they can make attractive and consistent bail findings using our instructions.
We really like this jewelry making project. It looks especially nice in a necklace with our 22x30mm Pear Pendants like the ones shown above left and right. You can view those 22x30mm pear pendants in our Internet store here.

In future newsletters we will provide instructions in how to use a similar technique to make earrings and how to make a teardrop bail finding. You can view these future techniques below.
Nostalgia Corner -- Some of our favorite jewelry making designs:
This week's featured design in our Nostalgia Corner is the design for making our Paper Clip Earrings. These earrings use either a Spiral Maker plus a regular metal peg, or a 3/4" Super Peg plus one regular metal peg and can be made on any of our WigJig tools as long as you also had the Spiral Maker or the 3/4" Super Peg. Because these earrings are actually ear wires, we recommend using 20 gauge wire. These earrings can be made with either soft or 1/2 hard wire, but you will probably find that it is easier to make these earrings consistently using soft wire. Using a nylon hammer, to hammer the wire into the Spiral Maker or Super Peg after you have bent the wire into the paperclip shape shown here will help to harden the ear wire and make the ear wire more permanent. These earrings are a project that is suitable for beginners. They are really rather simple to make.
