WigJig Jewelry Tools Presents our Jewelry Making Newsletter -- AKA Boomer Sez:

Our Spokesdog: If an insurance company can have a gecko, we have decided that we can have a spokesdog.  Boomer, shown at right, is our spokesdog.  If you select Boomer's picture, you will be able to view Boomer at his work.

How to Unsubscribe: If you signed up for our newsletter and then decided you don't want to receive it any more, the proper way to unsubscribe is to select the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of every newsletter email or to follow our sign up link above.  On that sign up page we also provide a way for people to unsubscribe.

Jewelry Making Videos:

We have started a WigJig Jewelry Channel on You Tube.  In this area, we have posted several videos and will continue to post new videos.  Many of the videos posted were formerly videos that we sold as part of our WEB-VIDEO product and these videos are now available to everyone for free.  You can visit the WigJig Jewelry Channel on You Tube by selecting here.

Please bookmark this site and tell your friends.  We believe that these videos will be very helpful to beginners to using a jewelry making jig.

WigJig Jewelry Making Newsletters:

Several of our readers have noticed that we've been remiss and did not send newsletters for December or January.  Sometimes our workload gets large enough that it prevents us from sending newsletters.  Sometimes our muse is not inspired to create a new design that we like well enough to publish.  Sometimes both occur.  We anticipate continuing to provide newsletters on a monthly basis, but our future workload may impact this.  Right now we are working on a total, major rework of our entire web site and store and we are also working on about 20 new jewelry making videos.  Both projects take a lot of our time.  The updated web site and store will be worth the effort and will bring our Internet presence into the 21st century.  The new videos will attempt to document all the jewelry making skills we use in videos to help newcomers to learn.  Please stick with us.  The results are due to be revealed this spring and should be worthwhile.

Jewelry Making Supplies On Sale:

We normally update the jewelry supplies that we have "On Sale" with every newsletter.  This time, we will update the sale items within the next two days.  If you visit us again on Thursday, you will be able to view our updated sale items.  A small sample of the products we have for sale at discounted prices are shown below.  Please click on any of the links below the pictures to view our entire list of sale items.  Select the picture itself to view that specific item in our Internet Store.

5 Dangles Jewelry Wire Earrings Jewelry Making Project with Sapphire BeadsFree Jewelry Making Design:

Our new jewelry making project for this newsletter is a new earring design that we call 5 Dangles Jewelry Wire Earrings.  This project is made of five wire components made on any of our WigJig tools.  It is an intermediate jewelry making project and our instructions aren't provided in sufficient detail that a beginner would need. These chandelier earrings are slightly over 3 inches long when completed.

These earrings use 32 inches of 20 gauge wire, one pair of ear wire findings, 10 figure 8 connectors or jump rings, 10 six mm beads, and 10 head pin findings.

Please select either picture at right, or select here to view our new instructions for making the 5 Dangles Jewelry Wire Earrings made on our WigJig jewelry tools.

Past Jewelry Making Techniques:

We maintain a techniques web page that provides links to the discussion of techniques in our prior newsletters.  You can visit this web page here.  Follow the links on that page to the discussion of the technique in that newsletter.

Current Jewelry Making Technique:

Ear Wire Finding Jewelry Making TechniqueThis newsletter's jewelry making technique is free instructions for making a shepherd's hook, or French hook style ear wire using a Super Peg and one of our WigJig tools.  We tend to make most of the ear wires used in our jewelry making projects.  Part of the reason that we make our own ear wires is that we don't always plan sufficiently in advance to have ear wires available.  Part of the reason is we like to make our own ear wires.  We do believe that we save a small amount of money by making our own ear wires.

Please select here, or select the picture above-right to view our free You Tube video for making an ear wire finding using 20 gauge jewelry wire and our WigJig jewelry making tools.

Nostalgia Corner -- Some of our favorite jewelry making designs:

Jewelry Wire Ring Jewelry Making ProjectOur Nostalgia Corner project for this newsletter is our favorite ring design.  The Simple Ring is a design that we think looks great and is as the name implies relatively easy to make.

Please select here or select the picture at right to view our instructions on how to make the Simple Ring using our WigJig jewelry tools to shape jewelry wire.
