Editor's note: The picture of the copper wire shown below is an old picture and has a problem. When cutting jewelry wire with a flush cutter, you want to cut so that the flat side of the cut wire remains on the jewelry wire component. In this picture you can see that the end of the wire in the copper "P" loop shown has a sharp cut and not a flush cut. This is a good example of a mistake made in cutting the wire for this piece.
