The WigJig Company has announced the release of their newest jewelry
making jig -- the WigJig Centaur. Just as the mythical Centaur was
half man and half horse, the WigJig Centaur also has a split personality
with 1/2 of the design area being a square pattern of holes and the remainder
the design area being a semi-circular pattern of holes. The combination provides
the most flexibility and capability available in any of the WigJig jewelry
making tools. |
|
| The WigJig Centaur, shown above-right, comes with twenty of the small 1/16" metal pegs which allow the designer to make more delicate wire components. There are a total of 441 holes in the 4 inch acrylic base. Since the holes are drilled only partially through the base, they provide both strength and stability while bending wire on the jig. The Centaur works best with 18, 20 and 22 gauge wire, but is strong enough to accommodate 16 gauge wire, if necessary. Hundreds of free jewelry designs that can be made on the WigJig Centaur can be found on the WigJig web site at http://www.wigjig.com. The earrings shown at right are an example of the jewelry making projects that can be made on the WigJig Centaur. |
