Step 1: Cut one segment of 20 gauge wire, 4 1/2" long.
Step 2: Using your round nose pliers, or your fine step jaw
pliers, make a 1/2 loop in the end of your wire. (This loop will
be ultimately cut off, so it does not need to be a full loop.) Step 3: Using your nylon jaw pliers, straighten the wire by pulling it repeatedly through the jaws of the pliers. Step 4: Now position three regular metal pegs in your jig as shown above-right. Place your initial loop in your wire on peg 1 and position your wire as shown. Step 5: Now wrap your wire around peg 2 as shown in the pictures below-left and below-center. Push the wire with your finger tips, holding your finger tip as close to peg 2 as possible while you are wrapping the wire.
Step 6: Now wrap your wire around peg 3 as shown above-right. These instructions continue on the next page. |
