Alternative Design for Triangle Links Jewelry Wire & Beads Earrings Jewelry Making ProjectAlternative Designs:

Our first alternative design is the Star of David Earring design shown at right.  These earrings are made using exactly the same steps as we followed for the Triangle Links earrings that we made in the prior pages, but the peg pattern and wire lengths are changed.  For these Star of David Jewelry Wire & Beads Earrings Jewelry Making Projectearrings you will need wire segments that are 3 1/4" long for the one loop triangle wire component and 3 3/4" long for the three loop wire component.  The peg pattern for these earrings is shown at left.  This pattern uses the rounded portion of the WigJig Centaur or the WigJig Cyclops or Electra.  The triangles are equilateral triangles and unfortunately, the angles required can not be created on any of our square peg pattern jigs.

For this alternative design, we wanted bead dangles that were longer so we used a combination of 4mm crystal beads separated by 2x4mm bugle beads to create the bead dangles on the earrings shown.  Because the bead dangles are longer, we used 2" head Alt #2 to Triangle Links Jewelry Wire & Beads Earrings Jewelry Making Projectpins to make the dangles.

We have one more alternative design to present.  In this alternative we use either of the prior peg patterns, but instead of making a one loop triangle and a three loop triangle, we make two one loop triangle wire components.  Because we don't have the two extra loops in the prior designs, this earring is finished with a single bead dangle or with a CZ pendant as shown at right.  The process for creating the pendant hanging uses 22 or 24 gauge wire and is described here.

We hope you like our Triangle Links Earrings.  These earrings may look complex and difficult to make, but once you understand the magic of how we connect the two triangles, we believe that most beginners to jewelry making will be able to make these earrings.
