Step 12: Now wrap the wire completely around what was peg 2
as shown at left. Continue pushing the wire until it rests
adjacent to peg 1. This may require lifting the wire over peg 1
slightly so that you can push the wire beyond peg 1. The goal is
that the wire should rest in the position shown with no pressure applied
to the
Step 13: We complete our work on the jig by wrapping the wire
tightly around peg 1 as shown at right.
Step 14: Remove the wire from the jig and cut the excess
wire. Close the final loop just as you did in the first triangle
component. When completed the three loop triangle wire component
should appear as shown at left.
Step 15: Connecting these two flat triangular wire components is essentially impossible as long as they remain flat. The magic in making it easy to connect the two wire components is to bend the bottom of the triangles up as shown at right. This is done using your fine step jaw pliers, gripping the triangle about 1/3 of the way up from the bottom of the triangle and bending that portion of the triangle up about 45 degrees. |
