| This design for the Treble Clef earrings is made using a slightly different approach. It requires one 5/16" Super Peg and four regular metal pegs. |
|
|
Begin making these earrings using five inches of 20 gauge soft wire and
steps 1 - 4 of our generic jewelry
making step-by-step approach as discussed here. This will give
us a straight piece of wire about 5 inches long with a loop at one end.
Step 5: Position regular metal peg 1, 3, 4 and 5 in your WigJig
Olympus, Olympus-Lite, Delphi or Centaur as shown at right. Place
the initial loop in your wire on peg 1 and wrap around the pegs as shown.
(For this pattern and with this soft wire it is not important that you add
one peg at a time as we would for other patterns.) Please note that
the wire is not wrapped around peg 5. It is just resting against peg
5. (Please visit page 10 to see
the peg pattern when using a round jig like our WigJig Centaur, Cyclops or
Electra.) |
|
| Step 6: Now remove peg 1 from your jig and without removing the wire, use your fingers to hold down the wire segment between pegs 4 and 5 while you lift the initial wire segment that went over peg 1 so that it is pointing up, a 90 degree bend at the point where this wire crosses the wire between pegs 4 and 5. |
