Step 16: Cut the excess wire with your flush cutter about 1/16"
from the edge of the Raindrop Wire Component.
Step 17: Using your bent chain nose pliers, squeeze the cut end
of the wire flat against the inside of the Raindrop Wire Component.
Slide the wire to the position shown and try to keep it in this position
Step 18: Thread one size 11 seed bead, an 8mm bead and a second
size 11 seed bead onto the fine gauge wire. (We used topaz silver
lined seed beads with our gold wire. With silver wire we recommend
crystal silver lined seed beads.) If you don't have a size 11 seed
bead, you can use two size 8 seed beads and a 6mm bead instead of the 8mm
beads shown here or you can use a 1/2 inch Super Peg to make a larger
Raindrop and use 8mm beads with size 8 seed beads. Now we are ready
to wrap the other Step 19: Using your fingers, wrap the fine gauge wire about 1/2
way around the Raindrop wire component. At this point we can not
wrap further
Step 20: Using your flush cutter cut the excess wire about 3/8" from the bend.
Step 22: Cut the excess wire 1/16" from the wrap.
Step 23: Using your bent chain nose pliers, squeeze the wire tail flat against the inside of the Raindrop. This complete our work on the Raindrop Wire Component and beads. In the following page we will begin assembling the earrings. |
