Step 6: Remove the wire component from your jig. Place
peg three in your jig as shown at left. Replace your wire
component on the jig so that the loop made on peg 2, is now on peg 3.
Now wrap the wire around peg 2 until the wire rests adjacent to the
empty hole for peg 5 with no pressure applied. Please note that
because of the way we made the initial 180 degree bend there is a short
segment of wire that prevents us from using a peg like peg 1 for the end
of the wire. The end of the wire is off the jig and not attached
to any peg. When this step is completed, your wire should appear
as shown at left.
Step 7: Remove the wire from the jig and add peg 4 to your pattern. Replace your wire component on the jig in the mirror image position, then wrap the wire around peg 4 until the wire rests adjacent to the empty hole for peg 5 with no pressure applied. When completed your wire should appear as shown at right. Please note that when we performed this step, we found it easier to move peg 1 a couple of holes so that it worked better. You may decide that you don't want to bother with peg 1 and you can remove it from the pattern. |
